The Ambassador of Macedonia to Germany, Kornelija Utevska-Gligorovska

The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia calls for fair and objective talks with the EU regarding an early accession of Macedonia to the EU. The necessary decision on this vital issue should be based on substantial matters and not hindered by the name dispute with Greece.

The Ambassador of Macedonia to Germany, Kornelija Utevska-Gligorovska expressed her hope for an early accession of her country to the EU during the key-note speech she gave on the occasion of the Final Ceremony of the “Class of 2011” of ZEI’s two Master’s programs on 1 July 2011. 32 graduates from more than twenty counties were honored for their successful completion of the very competitive ZEI Master programs.

The Chairman of the ZEI Board, Prof. Dr. Günther Schulz, and Martin Schumacher, Executive Director for Cultural Affairs, Sports and Science of the City of Bonn, underlined the important contribution of ZEI to the international academic character of both the university and the city of Bonn. ZEI Directors Prof. Dr. Christian Koenig and Prof. Dr. Ludger Kühnhardt expressed their gratitude to all supporters and friends of ZEI, especially the Europe-wide faculty. The ‘Class of 2011” honored Prof. Dr. Alexander Lorz, Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf, Prof. Dr. Ryszard Rapacki, Warsaw School of Economics, and Swenja Bartkowski and Horst-Peter Heinrichs, Federal Network Agency in Bonn, with the traditional “Best Lecturer Award”.
